Accessibility Policy

BASELAYER is committed to providing a website that is fully accessible for all individuals. We have adopted the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Level AA as published by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) as our standard.

While we strive to make the BASELAYER’s websites as accessible as possible, our pages may not always pass online testing or validation tools. For example, our approach to using image alternate text attributes includes keeping redundancies to a minimum, so we will sometimes opt to use empty alt attributes rather than duplicate content on the page. Also, unfortunately, there is no precise method to guarantee 100% conformance with Level A or Level AA of the WCAG, but we are continually using a multitude of systems to evaluate our accessibility. We strive to continually enhance the accessibility of our website and create an environment free of barriers for all peoples.

We believe that every one of our guests should be able to easily shop our websites and products. That’s why we follow the recognized standards of W3C’s, and provide content that is compatible with system-based assistive technologies and browsers. For the best experience possible, we recommend using the most up-to-date versions available from the manufacturer for these programs and applications. Some of these programs and applications may work better for your needs than others, we recommend trying different types of browsers and assistive technology applications in order to determine the combination that will work best for you. Additionally, our websites actively support screen magnification and various accessibility features that major browsers already provide.

If there is a part of our site that you feel does not comply to these guidelines, please contact us immediately so that we can amend those sections. Contact us by phone at +1 888-716-3323 or via email: info@baselayerlabs.com.

BASELAYER aims to make every page accessible for all individuals. Due to the use of third-party vendors, BASELAYER cannot guarantee that all pages are fully compliant with Level A or Level AA of the WCAG. Therefore, BASELAYER makes no claim to satisfy the requirements for site-wide conformance, but instead partial conformance as defined by WCAG Level AA 2.1. BASELAYER does not certify the conformance of any third-party plug-ins or widgets that are used on the site. However, BASELAYER urges third-party vendors providing content on its websites to adhere to the WCAG Level AA standard and will consider compliance with this standard when selecting third party vendors.
